Shauna writes twentieth-century historical fiction from her home in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, where she lives with her husband and two dogs. Before writing, she managed a public library and was the 2006 recipient of the Ontario Library Association’s Excellence in Youth Services Award. Her work has been published in The Globe and Mail, among others. Most recently, she was shortlisted for the 2022 Guernica Editions Prize for Literary Fiction and was a semi-finalist in the 2018 John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award competition.
Shauna has a Bachelor's degree in Political Studies from Queen's University and a Master of Information Studies degree from the University of Toronto. She is represented by Kristina Perez, Perez Literary & Entertainment.
